How many can play Catalyst?
The game is set up for 2-6 people, but any number can
play. The more players there are, however, the longer the game
tends to go. We once used a pistachio shell as a game piece to
accommodate a seventh person.
Can I play by myself?
Although Catalyst is intended for group play to foster
community and gain more insight, Catalyst can be played
alone. In that case, make sure to listen to your inner wisdom
and be open to unconventional ways of looking at your focus.
Also be certain to finish up the game by writing down your
Inspiration at the end (see if you can get a friend to help
support you in the fulfillment of those intentions). It
is recommended to play with others, however, whenever
possible. Call a few friends and have a Catalyst
party!
Can kids
play too? The game was originally designed to entertain adults
primarily, but surprisingly, kids seem to like Catalyst, too. So if you have an older child that is psychologically
or spiritually insightful, who interested in playing,
there is nothing in Catalyst that is for adult eyes only.
They may just need a little help withunderstanding some of the words or concepts. I have plans in the works to create a game for
families with children that will encourage self-empowerment
& creativity, understanding each other outside of familial
roles, and having LOTS of fun together.
How long does it take to
play Catalyst? To get the most out of the
game, set aside at least a half hours worth of time per
player. However, Catalyst can be played within any time frame
you wish.
Do we really need a
facilitator? The facilitator is necessary
for keeping the game moving and to remind people to apply what
they experience to their focuses. It really isn't hard and
there is generally someone in any group who is willing to be
in charge of this. For people who would like more hints on how
to facilitate Catalyst, I will be adding some extra tips for
game play to this website in the very near future and will
update as things occur to me.
How do I get more Catalyst
Worksheets? Through this website and for FREE. Soon
there will be value-added material like a window to print more
worksheets, and extra game play & facilitation tips. If
you need more worksheets before the link is posted on the

Are
there plans for any others versions of Catalyst?
Absolutely. Once the first edition is well established, the
next projects planned are a family edition to help parents and
children communicate better, grow closer, and empower
each other, and a Christian edition. Catalyst is getting a lot of attention from the
Hispanic community so a Spanish language version is likely to
come in the not-too-distant future.
